SHELBY CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL
Shelby Christian Preschool offers an exciting Early Childhood Educational Program for 3-5 year olds.Building on their natural curiosity and interests, children learn through exploration. Activities and units are carefully planned to enable the children to explore the wonders of God's creation, to explore and discover their own abilities and potential, and to explore and value social relationships and responsibilities.
Our programs are designed to stimulate the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development and growth of each child. The children grow in their understanding of God, His world, themselves, and others. Through these experiences and activities, school readiness skills are taught within the curriculum that includes Bible, math, language, science, play, music and art.

Our Work is Based on These Principles:
- All children are created in the image of God and a gift from him.
- All children are competent, full of potential, active in learning and delighting in worship.
- Children construct their understanding of the world using their senses, bodies and social experiences as well as their minds.
- Teachers facilitate children's ability to think, question, talk, work and play.
- Education should be a collaborative process between children, teachers, and parents.
- The classroom environment is aesthetically pleasing and engaging thereby encouraging children to explore and learn at their own pace.
- Themes and projects follow the interests of the children allowing them to express themselves through speech, dramatic play, song and dance, and arts and crafts.
