Previous to coming on staff, Sam has worked as a volunteer in this ministry since 1997. Sam has an extensive background in counseling and helping those in need. He spent over 15 years as a professional in the counseling field, helping people overcome addiction and guiding them through their problems. Through his own life experience, Sam has seen the effects of addiction, and he has a true heart for helping those with all types of struggles. God has used Sam’s wisdom and genuine heart to make the Serenity Center an important resource for the church family and the community at large.
When Sam isn’t at the Serenity Center, he enjoys spending time with wife Ann at their cabin in Henry County. Sam and Ann have four children and enjoy spending time with all their grandchildren. Sam is an avid hunter and fishermen, and he has traveled all over the continent hunting and fishing.
Sam’s Favorite Scripture:
"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life" - 1 Timothy 1:15-16
